2020-2021 Membership Newsletter
Welcome to the 2021 snowmobile season. With the abrupt end of meetings last spring many details were left undone. Two of the most important items:
1) To say thank you to all of our members for once again supporting the club through memberships, donations, support of fundraisers and volunteering to assist with the many jobs and projects that always need to be completed.
2) To thank all of our landowners for once again allowing us the privilege of crossing their property. We appreciate your generosity and try to be good stewards of your land.
MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS
The membership form is available on the club’s website waumbekmethna.com. But NHSA has made it super easy to renew in five minutes directly from home. Their new membership page, nhsamembership.com, is designed to make it a simple process from phone, tablet, or computer and you will receive a membership voucher automatically after completing the transaction. Whether you prefer online or paper, please try to complete your membership renewal early. This helps to avoid hassles and confusion when you register your machines.
Upcoming meeting dates: October 18, November 1 & 15,
December 6 & 20, January 10 & 24, February 7 & 21, March 7 & 21, April 4
At this time meetings are planned to be virtual. If you would like to be added to the invitation list to receive the link for the meetings please email Lisa Riendeau at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Bridge and Trail Updates
With a great sigh of relief we are finally able to say that the new bridge over the Israel’s River has been completed! There have been too many volunteers involved with this project over the years to take the risk of omitting names by trying to list all of them but we must make mention of a few. Our longtime Trail Administrator (30+ years!) Bruce Cameron with the assistance of Gil and Sherry Finch devoted hours and hours to the organization of this entire project. Letters, phone calls, grant applications, more phone calls, more paperwork! Meetings with contractors and state representatives - and more paperwork. Without the efforts of these three individuals the new bridge would never have materialized.
The final installation was planned, organized, and completed by Mark Dubois and Mike Kenison and a team of volunteers. They have also removed the old swinging bridge. For the first time in nearly 5 years we are starting the season without needing to discuss “the bridge”!
Randolph Route 2 Bridge: This bridge which is located between Lowe’s and the Rail Trail was replaced during the snowy, muddy weekend of October 17th. Jim Riendeau assembled a group of workers and equipment from Jefferson and Gorham to complete this project. Thank you to all involved!
Trail Maps: Joyce McGee has coordinated the printing of a new trails map with updated info and new sponsorship ads. The maps will be sold for $4.00 each and will be available at the Old Corner Store, the Town of Whitefield municipal office, and Garneau’s Garage. You may also order one be sending an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
CLUBHOUSE NEWS: The clubhouse will not be open to the public this year. Hopefully things will be back to normal for the 21/22 season. For more info call Debbie at 586-7764 or shoot an email to the above email address.

Waumbek Methna Woodshed Project
A great group of volunteers arrived on Sunday November 9th 2014 to help in building our new wood shed for the warming hut. We also replaced the black stove pipe for the wood stove and the hut was cleaned in anticipation of the upcoming snowmobile season.
It was also stocked with wood !
WMSC would like to thank each of you for your help. Looks great!
